KEY POINTS
The Great Commission
The Great Commission represents Jesus’ final words before ascending into heaven.
It is a divine command, a kingdom mandate, and a spiritual charge to every disciple.
It carries the greatest task ever given to mankind — the salvation of the world through the gospel.
The final words of Jesus reveal what is most important to God: souls.
1. The Rebuke for Unbelief
Jesus rebuked His disciples for unbelief and hardness of heart.
Unbelief disqualifies men from divine usefulness.
Faith is the foundation for every divine assignment — the just shall live by faith.
Without faith, we cannot please God or fulfill His calling.
Faith in the Word and Power of God is essential.
Build faith through Scripture and the consistent hearing of the Word (Romans 10:17 ).
2. The Command of the Commission
Jesus commands: “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
The instruction implies:
Intentionality: Christianity is active — believers must go.
Global Scope: Every nation, culture, and environment is part of the mission field.
Specific Message: Preach the gospel, not opinions or traditions.
Universal Target: The gospel is for everyone — no one is excluded.
Every believer has a role — to go, send, pray, give, or support.
The strength of a church is not in seating capacity but in sending capacity.
3. The Consequence of the Commission
The gospel carries eternal consequences:
Belief → Salvation
Unbelief → Damnation
Faith in Christ is the only door to eternal life.
Baptism is an outward sign of inward transformation.
Preaching the gospel is not optional — souls depend on it.
4. The Confirmation of the Commission
The Great Commission is accompanied by divine power and manifestations.
Four confirming signs of believers:
Authority over demons — casting out devils in Jesus’ name.
Heavenly language — speaking with new tongues.
Supernatural protection — divine preservation in ministry.
Healing power — laying hands on the sick for recovery.
Every true gospel ministry must carry evidence of the supernatural.
5. The Continuation and Presence of Christ
After Jesus ascended, the disciples went out preaching, and the Lord worked with them.
Christ remains active on earth through His servants.
The Great Commission is a divine partnership — believers act, and God performs.
Miracles follow obedience; the going brings the glory.
As we obey the commission, we experience the Great Accompaniment — His abiding presence.
CONCLUSION
The Great Commission is not a suggestion — it is a command to every believer.
Heaven’s agenda is souls, and those aligned with that agenda walk in divine power and partnership.
Our true reward for serving Christ is eternal, not earthly.
The time to evangelize is now, not later — the harvest is ready.
The Master still calls: “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel.”
